ADULT DACHSHUNDS available to lifetime homes.
All adult dachshunds will be spayed or neutered before leaving for their new lifetime homes, unless male and sometimes they are intact. They may be micro chipped and are current on all vaccines. They will NEVER EVER need another vaccine of any kind, except rabies as required by law in your area. If you doubt their immunity to disease, then have your vet do a TITER..HAVE YOUR VET DO A TITER. DO NOT OVERVACCINATE YOUR DOGS. HAVE YOUR VET DO A TITER…Texas law requires every three years for another vaccine of rabies but if a titer is done that may be skipped as well. OVER VACCINATION can and does cause serious health issues in dogs. Do not allow your dogs immune system to be compromised. BE THEIR protector from harm…Older dachshunds can and do adjust to new lifestyles and surroundings as long as the new home is loving, patient and kind. Dachshunds are smart dogs and will adjust and bond to a new home and family. They are housetrained to a doggie door and with patience and kindness can learn from a good trainer to transfer that knowledge to a new home. If for any reason, at any time you are unable to care for any dog from Hidden Cedars they are always welcome back. NEVER NEVER place a dog you get from me in anyone elses’ hands but mine. I KNOW MY DOGS better than anyone does. I DO NOT want my dogs to go to shelters, rescues or be homeless at anytime in their lives. Older dachshunds can make wonderful companions for someone that does not want to start with a puppy.
