More and more snow the higher we get
Higher and higher and just so beautiful
This area had experienced the fires at some point and not totally restored.
Snow bank on the side of the road about 10 feet tall.
This area lots of snow and lots of burned trees and some new regrowth.
You can really see the burned standing dead trees in this photo.. also the new regrowth. What I found really interesting is looking at all the different burned areas is that the regrowth was different in many areas. Some it was so thick you would not be able to walk through. The other areas is would be very sparse.
This area looks like a much more recent burn as it has little to no regrowth, still very beautiful in its own right.

The icy cold Yellowstone river running through the mountains.
It was amazingly quiet in the Mountains... only the water and birds could be heard here that day.
